Rainforest Reef is a static directory. This page explains, plainly, what the site does and does not collect.

No accounts, analytics or trackers

This is a static website. It does not have user accounts or sign-in, it does not run analytics, and it does not load advertising or third-party tracking scripts. There are no third-party cookies and no tracking pixels.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived request logs (such as the pages requested and the time of the request) to operate and secure the service. Those logs are not used by us to build profiles of visitors.

Information you send us

If you use the submission page or email us, we receive whatever you choose to send — for example a store name, contact details and a description. We use it to consider and maintain a directory listing and to reply to you. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising. You can ask us to correct or remove a submission by emailing submissions@rainforestreef.ca.

Where this site links to another organisation, that site has its own privacy practices. This policy covers only Rainforest Reef.

Changes

Features that collect information may be added later. When that happens, this page will be updated to describe what is collected and why before those features go live.
